Waiting...

We continue to find it a great privilege to be caring for Martha here, in the anguish of watching her body become increasingly frail and weak, in the joy of knowing that she will soon be with her Lord, and in the experiencing of grace and peace to all three of us which truly passes all understanding.

We are very grateful that she has been able to remain in her own home here and we are also immensely grateful for your prayers and many expressions of love and comfort.  Please continue to pray that our Lord will bring her very soon into His healing presence and for grace and peace while she waits.

In His grip, her parents

  1. Ron and I continue to pray for your entire family as you wait for Jesus to come and take Martha home to be with Him. We are saddened by your loss, but rejoice with you that we will all get to see her again someday. May God be near to all of you during this time...Love in Christ, Linda and Ron Langford PSALM 23, I THESS 4:l3-18

Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us"
I am forever changed, I am forever new, I am forever in awe of a Savior that holds us tightest when life is hardest and I am forever in awe of how He lives in each of us as we love Martha and lift you all up to Him in prayer.
    Grace for your journey, LTW

  7. Aaron & I have been praying for Martha & your entire family for some time now & we will continue to lift you up to Him. She has been in the forefront of my thoughts for months...I have been touched by her words & her artwork & her willingness to share such an intimate part of her life. Her openness has allowed me to understand this process & I've come closer to God through her experience. She is such a brave & beautiful soul and I know God is smiling down on her. Much love, joy, peace, strength & beauty is sent to you all during this time. We love you..

  10. Martha, Fred, Jean and family - what a precious gift that you all can remain together in these waning moments, surrounded, as you are by a great crowd of invisible witnesses awaiting Martha's homegoing. You're in my thoughts and prayers many times a day and I'm humbled and honored that you all have shared your faith, tender ministrations, worship in the midst of pain and love for each other and our Lord. Maranatha, indeed. Patty Marion

  12. Dear beloved Fred and Jean,

We are standing with you in prayer as you undergo the exhausting task of waiting for the moment when the Father says to the Son, "It is time. Bring my child Martha home."

Then all will be well. The dull perception of spiritual realities that we experience this side of the curtain will be swept away as a spiderweb or wisp of dust. On the other side, Martha's memories of pain and suffering and sin will grow dim, distant, forgotten, her senses fully alive to the fulness of God's love for her.

"And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself that where I am, there you may be also."

JESUS HIMSELF comes for His child! Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus.

With a heart full of love for you, Marj Beukema
